Tangshan Top Bio-Technology has processed yeast and yeast derivatives since 2001 and is registered as a high-tech enterprise under a central government investment project. Fresh brewer's yeast is the starting material for a range that covers yeast powder, autolysed yeast, yeast extract in powder and paste form, yeast cell wall, yeast RNA, beta-glucan, mannan oligosaccharide, yeast culture, yeast peptides and mycotoxin binders. These go into food ingredients, nutrition and health products, bio-fermentation media, agriculture and animal nutrition.

The plant is on Zhuyou West Road in the Modern Equipment Manufacturing Industry Zone of Kaiping district, Tangshan, Hebei. The company gives a factory size of 50,000 to 100,000 square metres, five production lines and annual capacity of 15,000 tonnes. Process equipment listed includes storage tanks, vibrating sieves, centrifuges, fermentation tanks, a triple-effect evaporator, concentration equipment and a spray tower.

Technical work is done with the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and several universities. Certificates listed are ISO, HACCP, Kosher, Halal and GMP+. Markets given are North America, South America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, East Asia, Western Europe and China, and the company exhibits under the Topnutri Yeast name at trade shows including EuroTier and FIC.
