Chilli Seeds Oil

Chilli Seeds Oil is the cold-pressed or solvent-extracted fixed oil from the seeds of Capsicum annuum Linnaeus and related Capsicum species.

The oil is an amber-to-deep-red liquid carrying a mild capsaicinoid load, native tocopherols, carotenoids, and a fatty acid profile dominated by linoleic acid (typically 60 to 75 percent). It is distinct from oleoresin capsicum, which is a concentrated pungent extract rather than a seed oil.

We source bulk Chilli Seeds Oil from top China manufacturers for our partners. The manufacturer is in Hebei. A smaller requirement can ship in a combined container with other ingredients.

Please send the grade you need, the volume and your destination port, and we will come back with a solution and a price.

Common Markets Grades

Chilli Seeds Oil is graded by extraction method, capsaicinoid content, and colour.

Cold-pressed oil from sweet-pepper or paprika seeds delivers a mild, low-Scoville profile (typically below 5,000 SHU) and a deep red colour from co-extracted carotenoids.

Solvent-extracted oil from blended chilli seed lots covers the larger industrial supply.

Some specialty grades are standardised to defined capsaicinoid levels (for example 0.5 percent or 1 percent capsaicinoids) for warming-sensation cosmetic and topical applications.

Refined, bleached, and deodorised (RBD) grades remove most colour and pungency for use as a neutral carrier oil. Crude or virgin grades retain full colour, flavour, and antioxidant load and are preferred for finishing oils and traditional condiments.

Applications

  • Salad dressings, dipping oils, and Sichuan-style finishing oils
  • Chilli crisp and chilli-based condiments as the lipid base
  • Marinades, sauces, and stir-fry bases in Asian and Latin American cuisines
  • Snack-food seasoning carriers and flavoured popcorn oils
  • Warming massage oils and sports liniments
  • Topical warming patches and pain-relief balms at controlled capsaicinoid levels
  • Hair growth tonics and scalp-stimulating treatments
  • Soap and bath products in the warming and detox categories
  • Carrier oil for fat-soluble vitamins and herbal extracts in supplements
  • Pet food palatability enhancement and feed pigmentation
  • Cosmetic formulations targeting microcirculation and slimming claims

China Manufacturers of Chilli Seeds Oil

How We Help Source Chilli Seeds Oil

  • Direct Factory Sourcing

We run the whole process: selecting the manufacturer from the top Chinese food ingredient producers, negotiating the price, verifying quality, and coordinating the logistics. You deal with us instead of with several factories at once.

  • Original Packaging and Documents from the Manufacturer

The manufacturer sends your Chilli Seeds Oil out of its own factory in the original packing, through to your destination port. The COA, COO, MSDS, TDS and any certifications reach you from the manufacturer as well.

  • Free Samples and Lead Time

We send 100 to 500 g free for your own laboratory to test and you cover only the courier, usually within 2 to 3 working days. ETD is usually within 7 to 15 days once the order is confirmed, and we check that date against the factory's own manufacturing schedule before we give it to you.

  • Combined Shipment

We can load Chilli Seeds Oil together with other ingredients such as Peppermint Oil, Ginger Essential Oil and Star Anise Oil into one 20' FCL. If your quantity is small, we can also ship LCL.

Regulatory Status

Chilli Seeds Oil is regulated as a vegetable oil in food applications and as a topical capsaicinoid carrier in cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.

In the U.S. the underlying capsicum is GRAS under 21 CFR 182.10.

The EU permits paprika and chilli extracts as natural flavouring under Regulation (EC) 1334/2008 and as the food colour E160c (paprika extract) when carotenoid-rich.

JECFA has reviewed capsaicinoids and supports their use at typical seasoning levels.

For cosmetic use, the EU CosIng database lists Capsicum Annuum Seed Oil as a skin-conditioning ingredient. Kosher, Halal, organic, and non-GMO certifications are routinely available.

Manufacturing Process

Production starts with separation of chilli seeds from the pericarp after the fruit has been dried and milled for paprika or chilli powder production. The seeds typically represent 30 to 45 percent of dried fruit weight.

Cleaned seeds are conditioned to 8 to 10 percent moisture and cold-pressed in screw expellers. Yields run 18 to 24 percent of seed weight depending on cultivar.

Solvent extraction with food-grade hexane recovers the residual oil from press cake, yielding total extraction efficiencies above 95 percent.

Crude oil is degummed, neutralised, bleached, and deodorised through a standard edible-oil refining train when a neutral grade is required.

Specialty pungent grades are produced by partial blending with capsicum oleoresin to reach a target capsaicinoid value, with HPLC confirmation of capsaicin and dihydrocapsaicin levels.
