Guangzhou Baihua Flavours and Fragrances Company Ltd. is a flavour and fragrance producer in the Liwan district of Guangzhou. Its origins go back to April 1956, when the Ministry of Light Industry began building an aromatics extraction plant in the city; the works was formally named the Guangzhou Baihua Flavour and Fragrance Factory in October 1957.

Current capacity is 1,000 tonnes a year of aroma chemicals and 4,300 tonnes a year of compounded flavours and fragrances. The range covers natural aromatics, synthetic aromatics and close to a thousand flavour and fragrance compounds sold under the Guangzhou, Baixiang and Binghua brands. Natural materials include essential oils, absolutes and plant extracts, alongside tea concentrates and reaction flavours. Products go into food, household and personal care, tobacco, pharmaceutical and feed applications.

The company set up a joint venture with a Thai partner in August 1988, which it exited in 2019, and converted to a joint stock company in October 1993. It was admitted to the National Equities Exchange and Quotations board in February 2016 and delisted in 2018. A new headquarters was completed in March 2021. State-owned shareholders hold 97 per cent of the equity through the Guangzhou Light Industry Group.

Baihua is recognised as a Guangdong high-tech enterprise and a provincial technology innovation enterprise, and its design, development, production and service work is run to ISO 9001. Products are sold across China and exported to Japan, the United States, France, Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
