Jinan Aorun Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2003 and works in the deep processing of agricultural produce and the extraction of natural plant materials. Its plant is at 11 Xincheng Street in Shanghe County, on the northern edge of Jinan in Shandong Province, and it is registered as a high-tech enterprise.

The company makes flavoured oils and pastes by extracting aromatic compounds from spices and alliums into an oil base. Its range covers scallion oil, ginger oil, garlic oil, Sichuan pepper oil, black pepper oil, cumin oil, five-spice oil and a spicy chilli oil, together with red shallot paste and Sichuan pepper paste. These are concentrated flavour bases rather than cooking oils, used by makers of instant noodles, prepared dishes, hotpot bases, sauces and snack seasonings.

Production runs on selected raw material with process equipment and quality control described by the company as its main technical asset, and it reports long-standing supply relationships with several large Chinese food manufacturers. It is a member of the China Food Additives and Ingredients Association and exhibits at the spring Food Ingredients China fair.
