Qingyuan Group was established in 1985 and is based at 39 Yibo Road, Yishui County, Shandong Province. It is ranked among the top 100 enterprises in the Chinese food industry and is designated a national key enterprise in agricultural industrialisation. The group holds Qingyuan Food Co., Ltd., Qingyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Qingyuan Thermal Power Co., Ltd. and a property company, with total assets of 1.6 billion yuan and more than 1,600 employees, including over 300 engineers and technicians.

Qingyuan Biotechnology handles the corn deep processing side of the group and produces the starch sugar range listed here: dextrose monohydrate, edible glucose and glucose powder, liquid glucose, maltodextrin and maltose syrups, including grades made for brewing and for non-dairy creamer. Qingyuan Foodstuff covers the consumer side, with convenient foods, snacks, seasonings, wheat flour products and packaging and printing making up the rest of a portfolio of close to 300 items. Combined annual food production capacity is more than 600,000 tonnes.

Products are sold across more than twenty Chinese provinces and municipalities and exported to over 65 countries and regions including Russia, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Kenya and markets in Southeast Asia, Africa, South America and Oceania. The Qingyuan trademark has been recognised as a China Famous Trademark, and the group runs an electronic traceability system for its products.
