Shandong Fuyang Bio-tech began trading in 2009 and operates from the Pingyuan Longmen Development Zone in Dezhou, Shandong. It is a corn wet-milling business: corn starch is the base, and the plant converts it into sodium gluconate, gluconic acid, glucono-delta-lactone and a range of modified starches, with corn gluten meal and corn gluten feed taken off as co-products.

Sweeteners form the second line. Erythritol, D-allulose in powder and syrup, and trehalose are produced alongside the starch and gluconate products. The modified starch range runs across the food-grade E1401 to E1442 series and includes oxidised, acid-treated, cationic and hydroxypropyl starches, hydroxypropyl distarch phosphate, acetylated distarch adipate and waxy maize starch, with separate grades for paper and textiles.

The company reports about 2,000 employees, among them 25 engineers, 20 doctorates and several hundred graduates, and it works as an original equipment manufacturer for other brands.
