Shandong Zhongxing Food Technology makes glucono-delta-lactone and the gluconate salts that come off the same chemistry. GDL, used as a slow-release acidulant, a coagulant for tofu and a curing accelerator in meat, is the anchor product, and the range extends to gluconic acid solution and to calcium, ferrous, zinc, copper, magnesium and potassium gluconate for food fortification and mineral supplements.

The company trades under the Fuxing brand from Changshan Town in Zouping, Binzhou, Shandong, and was registered in 2022 around a team that had run the predecessor operation for some three decades. It works three production lines with stated annual capacity of 20,000 tonnes of GDL, 8,000 tonnes of calcium gluconate, 5,000 tonnes of ferrous gluconate and 4,000 tonnes of zinc gluconate, and holds ISO 22000, HACCP, Halal and Kosher certification.
