Taste Legend Bio-Tech was established in June 2015 at Quanyin in Sishui County, Jining, Shandong, and extracts sweeteners from stevia leaf. Registered capital is RMB 10 million and the workforce is more than 50. The founder, Kong Xiangsheng, had over 20 years in stevia production before the company was set up. Site figures differ between pages, with the homepage giving a facility of 80,000 square metres and the about page giving 18,000 square metres of land, 3,600 square metres of buildings and 5,400 square metres of landscaping.

The range covers STV, RA, RB, RD and RM series steviol glycosides, glucosyl steviol glycosides, enzyme-modified stevia, steviosin and tabletop sweeteners, sold as food additives and pharmaceutical excipients. More than RMB 30 million has been invested in two additional stevia lines, bringing stated capacity to 200 tonnes a year of stevioside and 150 tonnes a year of high-content RA grades.

Production is run to GMP standards with a matching quality assurance system, and the company holds a provincial enterprise technology centre. Certificates listed are ISO 9000, ISO 14000, FSSC 22000, Kosher, Halal and organic, with products stated to meet US FDA and EU requirements. Sales cover China plus North America, South America, Europe, South Asia and Australia. The company has also planned its own planting base for new stevia varieties to secure leaf supply.
