Wuhan Landmark Industrial Co., Ltd. was established in 2012 and was among the first Chinese manufacturers of cinnamic derivatives. The range runs to more than 60 products built around cinnamic acid, cinnamaldehyde, cinnamyl alcohol and the cinnamate esters, including methyl and ethyl cinnamate, and extends to potassium cinnamate, which the company positions as a flavour-active preservative for pickles, meat, baked goods, bean products, preserves, condiments and drinks. The products are sold into food additives, feed additives, flavours and fragrances, cosmetics, agriculture, pharmaceutical intermediates and coatings, and are registered under the Landmark, Tianjia and Jitian brands.

The company reports more than 100 production and sales staff, over 40 of them holding master's degrees, 18 industrial technical patents and more than ten published technical papers. Its R&D department is led by Dr Xu Chunfang, with Dr Zhang Yufei as vice president for science and technology. It works with the provincial food engineering technology research centre and a provincial academy of agricultural sciences key laboratory, and maintains research links with Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan Polytechnic University, Jiangnan University and Henan University of Technology.

Certification covers ISO 9001, FDA registration, Kosher and Halal. The company holds national high-tech enterprise status and an AAA credit rating, and runs warehousing and distribution centres at Wuhan, Shanghai and Qingdao.
