Wuhan Qingjiang Konjac Co., Ltd.

The konjac.cn site is operated under the name Hubei Qiangsen Konjac Technology Co., Ltd., a company founded in 1998 that specialises in konjac raw materials. It is based in Hubei, which the site describes as China's main konjac producing region, with the mountainous west of the province supplying the better quality corms.

The business covers research, production, development and application of konjac flour and konjac compound products. Konjac glucomannan, the polysaccharide in the corm, is described on the site as a beta-1,4-linked polymer of D-glucose and D-mannose in a ratio of about 1 to 1.6, with molecular weight between one and two million daltons varying by cultivar, processing method and storage time. Grades on offer include acid-resistant and acid-stable konjac gum and a high-transparency gum, alongside instant xanthan gum.

From 2013 the company began building an overseas raw material supply chain and has since set up several konjac processing bases in newer growing regions, which it uses to supplement Chinese harvests.
