High-Transparency Konjac Gum
High Transparency Konjac Gum is a clarified konjac glucomannan, above 92 percent glucomannan content, with minimised pigmentation and residual fibre, designed to produce optically clear gels and beverage solutions.
Standard konjac gum gives a faintly cloudy solution because of trace lipid, pigment, and high-molecular-weight fibre. The high-transparency variant strips these through additional polishing steps so finished gels stay water-clear.
We source bulk High-Transparency Konjac Gum from top China manufacturers for our partners. The manufacturer is in Hubei. A smaller requirement can ship in a combined container with other ingredients.
Please send the grade you need, the volume and your destination port, and we will come back with a solution and a price.

Common Markets Grades
High Transparency Konjac Gum is specified by light transmittance through a 1 percent solution at 720 nm wavelength.
Standard transparency grade gives 80 to 88 percent transmittance and is used in clear jelly desserts and translucent confectionery.
High transparency grade gives above 90 percent transmittance and is used in clear beverages, showpiece jellies, and decorative applications.
Both grades sit at standard viscosity in the 25 to 35 thousand cP range, and can be combined with carrageenan for crystal-clear set-and-display jelly formats.
Applications
- Clear jelly cups and dessert pouches where visual clarity is a selling point
- Decorative jellies with embedded fruit or flower inclusions
- Crystal-clear confectionery jellies and pâte de fruit
- Clear ready-to-drink beverages with konjac fibre fortification
- Fruit jellies and dessert show pieces
- Cosmetic gels and serums requiring optical clarity
- Edible films and coatings on glossy chocolate or candy surfaces
- Pharmaceutical clear syrups and gel capsules
- Plant-based clear meat jellies and aspics
- Showcase desserts in pastry and patisserie applications

How We Help Source High-Transparency Konjac Gum
Direct Factory Sourcing
We run the whole process: selecting the manufacturer from the top Chinese food ingredient producers, negotiating the price, verifying quality, and coordinating the logistics. You deal with us instead of with several factories at once.
Original Packaging and Documents from the Manufacturer
The manufacturer sends your High-Transparency Konjac Gum out of its own factory in the original packing, through to your destination port. The COA, COO, MSDS, TDS and any certifications reach you from the manufacturer as well.
Free Samples and Lead Time
We send 100 to 500 g free for your own laboratory to test and you cover only the courier, usually within 2 to 3 working days. ETD is usually within 7 to 15 days once the order is confirmed, and we check that date against the factory's own manufacturing schedule before we give it to you.
Combined Shipment
We can load High-Transparency Konjac Gum together with other ingredients such as Carrageenan, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose and Agar Agar into one 20' FCL. If your quantity is small, we can also ship LCL.
Regulatory Status
High Transparency Konjac Gum is regulated as konjac gum under the same framework as standard grades.
It carries E425 designation in the European Union and is permitted in the United States, China, Japan, and most other regulated markets under the konjac gum authorisation. Mini-cup jelly restrictions apply where legislated.
Halal, Kosher, vegan, non-GMO, and gluten-free certifications are routinely available.
Manufacturing Process
Production starts from purified konjac gum and adds further clarification steps.
The gum is dispersed in warm 50 to 70 percent ethanol, where residual lipids and pigments partially solubilise. The slurry is filtered, fresh alcohol added, and the cycle repeated.
A final polishing pass uses bleached activated carbon to adsorb remaining colour. The clarified slurry is filtered, dewatered, and dried under vacuum at low temperature to preserve molecular weight.
The dried gum is milled and packaged in opaque foil-lined bags to stop the colour returning on exposure to light. Quality control verifies transmittance, viscosity, and glucomannan content before release.
