Xi'an Tianben Bio-Engineering Co., Ltd. produces standardised plant and herbal extracts. Its core items are epimedium, black pepper, Cyanotis arachnoidea, Cotinus coggygria, Magnolia officinalis, Cnidium, broccoli and broccoli seed, ginger and Engelhardtia leaf, and it markets differentiated grades under its own marks Tbfiset, Tbsulfora, Tbglucoraph, Tbpipepure and Tbsolicariin.

Two production bases work together, one at Shanyang in Shangluo and one at Huyi in Xi'an, with combined raw material handling capacity of 3,000 tonnes a year and the ability to run both pilot work and full-scale batches. The plants have class 100,000 clean rooms and standardised extraction and refining workshops. A laboratory of close to 2,000 square metres is equipped with HPLC, GC and UV spectrophotometry for assay, microbiology, residual solvent and physicochemical testing.

The company is a recognised high-tech enterprise with a research team that includes four doctorate holders and several core extraction patents. It has set up contract herb growing bases in Shaanxi and Gansu to control raw material at source. Production follows cGMP and FSSC 22000 practice, and the company holds the Chinese SC production licence together with US and EU organic, Kosher and Halal certification. It has been named a provincial preferred plant extract supplier and an A-grade taxpayer, and exports to Europe, the Americas, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
