Zhejiang Top Hydrocolloids Co., Ltd.

Zhejiang Top Hydrocolloids Co., Ltd. is the Jiaxing plant of the BLG group, a hydrocolloid business founded in 1996 with its head office in the Caohejing high technology park at Pujiang, Shanghai. The group runs four factories: at Fengxian District in Shanghai, at Jiaxing in Zhejiang, at Wuzhong in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and in South Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The product range covers carrageenan, agar, konjac gum, gellan gum, curdlan, xanthan gum, locust bean gum, citrus fibre and seaweed dietary fibre, together with transglutaminase and compounded stabiliser systems. These are supplied to meat and fish processing, confectionery, jelly and pudding, dairy and plant based drinks, bakery, noodles, pet food and household chemical manufacturers, as well as to pharmaceutical customers.

Konjac tubers are sourced from Yunnan and Indonesia, where the group has built collection and preliminary processing bases. A hydrocolloid technology research centre staffed by engineers and application scientists develops texture solutions for customers, and the group works with domestic and foreign research institutes and universities. Products are sold in China and exported to the Americas, Europe, Australia, Africa and Southeast Asia.
