Pyridoxine Hydrochloride
Pyridoxine Hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt of pyridoxine and the dominant commercial form of Vitamin B6 used in food fortification, dietary supplements, and pharmaceutical manufacture.
It is a white to off-white crystalline powder with the molecular formula C₈H₁₂ClNO₃ and a molar mass of 205.64 g/mol. Compared with the free base, the hydrochloride salt is far more water soluble (around 220 g/L at 20 °C), less hygroscopic, and considerably more stable to heat and light during storage.
We source bulk Pyridoxine Hydrochloride from top China manufacturers for our partners. The manufacturers are in Jiangxi and Zhejiang. For this ingredient the minimum order is 500 kg and a 20-foot container takes 8 MT, and a smaller requirement can ship in a combined container with other ingredients.
Please send the grade you need, the volume and your destination port, and we will come back with a solution and a price.

Common Markets Grades
Pyridoxine Hydrochloride is produced against pharmacopoeial specifications with very little grade variation.
The standard food and supplement grade meets USP, Ph. Eur., and JP monographs at 98 to 101 percent assay on the dried basis. Particle size is normally controlled to a fine crystalline powder passing 80 mesh for clean blending in dry mixes and tablet granulations.
A pharmaceutical grade with the same chemical specification but full GMP documentation, residual solvent control, and CEP support is set aside for tablet, capsule, and injectable production.
A feed grade with a slightly broader assay window covers poultry, swine, and aquaculture premix manufacture.

How We Help Source Pyridoxine Hydrochloride
Direct Factory Sourcing
We run the whole process: selecting the manufacturer from the top Chinese food ingredient producers, negotiating the price, verifying quality, and coordinating the logistics. You deal with us instead of with several factories at once.
Original Packaging and Documents from the Manufacturer
The manufacturer sends your Pyridoxine Hydrochloride out of its own factory in the original packing, through to your destination port. The COA, COO, MSDS, TDS and any certifications reach you from the manufacturer as well.
Free Samples and Lead Time
We send 100 to 500 g free for your own laboratory to test and you cover only the courier, usually within 2 to 3 working days. ETD is usually within 7 to 15 days once the order is confirmed, and we check that date against the factory's own manufacturing schedule before we give it to you.
Combined Shipment
We can load Pyridoxine Hydrochloride together with other ingredients such as Vitamin C, Vitamin D3 and Vitamin E into one 20' FCL. If your quantity is small, we can also ship LCL.
Regulatory Status
Pyridoxine Hydrochloride is permitted as a food fortificant and pharmaceutical active in every major market.
In the European Union Regulation (EC) 1925/2006 authorises it for food fortification and Regulation (EC) 1831/2003 for feed use. U.S. FDA recognises it as GRAS under 21 CFR 184.1676 for food and as a permitted active in over-the-counter and prescription pharmaceuticals.
Pharmacopoeial monographs appear in USP, Ph. Eur., JP, and IP, defining identification, assay, residual solvents, and heavy metals.
JECFA has reviewed Vitamin B6 and assigned an upper intake reference rather than a numerical safety limit on the salt itself. Halal and Kosher certifications are routinely available.
Manufacturing Process
Industrial production of pyridoxine follows a multi-step chemical synthesis with no commercial fermentation route at present.
The most widely used route starts from ethoxyacetylacetone and cyanoacetamide, which condense to build the pyridine ring. Successive functional-group transformations install the three hydroxymethyl and hydroxyl substituents that distinguish pyridoxine from the parent pyridine.
Crude pyridoxine free base is then converted to the hydrochloride by dissolution in ethanol or isopropanol and treatment with hydrogen chloride gas. The salt crystallises out, is filtered, washed with a cold solvent, and recrystallised to lift the assay to monograph grade.
Global capacity sits with a small group of producers, predominantly in China, with annual demand running near 5,000 tonnes split between feed, food, and pharmaceutical channels.
