Vital Wheat Gluten Pellet starts as standard vital wheat gluten powder produced by the conventional wet milling and flash drying process.

The powder is metered into a pelletizing line where steam conditioning brings the moisture content into the optimal range for cohesion. The conditioned material is then forced through a die under controlled temperature and pressure to form pellets of the target diameter.

The fresh pellets are cooled in a counter flow cooler to remove moisture and to harden the structure. Fines are screened off and recycled to the pelletizing inlet.

The finished pellets are sized, weighed, and packed in bulk bags or in flexible intermediate bulk containers for delivery to feed mills.
