Hebei Changhao Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2008 and is located near Hengshui Lake, at Yueliang village in Jizhou District, Hengshui, Hebei. It began as a small trading company and now describes itself as a technology-based manufacturing group of close to a hundred staff, with a trading subsidiary in Hengshui and an office in Hangzhou.

Amino acids are its main business. Named products include L-lysine hydrochloride, glycine, DL- and L-methionine, L-threonine and L-glutamic acid, alongside L-alanine, L-arginine and L-cysteine. The company also handles amino acid chelates, vitamins, sweeteners, acetyl compounds and plant extracts, and supplies magnesium bisglycinate among its mineral chelates.
