Shandong Aobo Bio-Tech Co., Ltd.

Shandong Aobo Bio-Tech was established in 2014 and is the production plant of the Aocter group, formally Shandong Aocter Biotechnology. It occupies about 60,000 square metres in Liaocheng, Shandong, employs more than 200 people and exports to some 80 countries and regions.

The plant is built on fermentation and enzymatic conversion. Its catalogue covers choline chloride at 98 per cent and choline bitartrate in DL and L forms, creatine monohydrate, inositol, food-grade gamma-aminobutyric acid, betaine and betaine hydrochloride at 98 per cent, L-tyrosine and mannitol, made to Chinese national, FCC and USP specifications. Site facilities include a research and development centre, laboratories, an inspection room and a strain room alongside the production workshops.

Aobo is registered as a national high-technology enterprise and a national intellectual property advantage enterprise, and has been named a gazelle enterprise, a specialised and innovative small and medium enterprise and a provincial manufacturing single champion in Shandong. Liaocheng has listed it as an emerging pillar enterprise and a green factory, and in November 2023 it entered a provincial pilot list for green and low-carbon development. Certification covers ISO9001, ISO22000, HACCP and kosher. Research is run jointly with teams at Shandong University and Henan University under provincial talent programmes.
