Xuzhou Hens Phosphate makes food-grade phosphate salts. Single salts run from sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium acid pyrophosphate and sodium trimetaphosphate through the potassium series, potassium metaphosphate, potassium tripolyphosphate and tetrapotassium pyrophosphate, to acidic sodium aluminium phosphate, aluminium dihydrogen phosphate and acid calcium pyrophosphate. Blended polyphosphate systems sit alongside them, and the catalogue runs to close to a hundred grades.
The plant belongs to Hens Group, which dates from 2004 and has its head office in Xuzhou, Jiangsu; sister companies cover food ingredients, food research and trading. Combined phosphate capacity is 50,000 tonnes a year. The company presses solid and hollow granules as well as fine powders, and develops bespoke specialty phosphates to customer specification.
