Zhejiang Haining Fengming Chlorophyll Co., Ltd.

Haining Fengming Chlorophyll Co., Ltd. was founded in 1976 and works from Haining, on the Hangjiahu plain in northern Zhejiang, between Shanghai and Hangzhou. It combines research, manufacturing and trade, and produces natural pigments, food additives, pharmaceutical chemical raw materials and feed additives.

Chlorophyll and lutein are the two main product families. The catalogue lists sodium copper chlorophyllin, sodium iron chlorophyllin, sodium magnesium chlorophyllin, chlorophyllin cream, chlorophyll paste and oil soluble chlorophyll, together with lutein in powder and paste form, natural phytol, gardenia yellow, hemin, dried marigold granules and mulberry red pigment. These go into food, beverages, household chemicals, pharmaceuticals and animal feed. Products carry the Haihong brand.

The works cover 20,000 square metres and hold fixed assets the company values at over 1.2 million US dollars. It obtained the right to conduct its own import and export trade in November 1999, and reports annual sales above 2.5 million US dollars with roughly 80 to 90 per cent of output exported, mainly to Europe, the United States, Japan and Southeast Asia.
