Collagen Tripeptide

Collagen Tripeptide is a premium-positioned collagen ingredient enriched in three-amino-acid fragments of the form Gly-X-Y, where X is typically proline and Y is typically hydroxyproline. The fraction is concentrated by deep enzymatic hydrolysis followed by membrane separation, with finished products specified to contain 10 to 30 percent or more tripeptide by weight.

Average molecular weight is well below 1 kDa, which makes the powder freely soluble in cold water and visually clear in beverage applications.

We source bulk Collagen Tripeptide from top China manufacturers for our partners, working with several of them. The manufacturers are in Shandong, Beijing and Hebei. A smaller requirement can ship in a combined container with other ingredients.

Please send the grade you need, the volume and your destination port, and we will come back with a solution and a price.

Common Markets Grades

Collagen Tripeptide is graded by tripeptide content and by source animal.

Standard grades carry 10 to 15 percent total tripeptides and serve mid-tier beauty and joint formulas. Premium grades reach 20 to 30 percent and are positioned for clinical-style products and high-end Japanese and Korean beauty drinks.

Marker tripeptides include Gly-Pro-Hyp, which is monitored by HPLC and is treated as the lead authenticity peak. Some suppliers report Gly-Pro-Hyp content separately from total tripeptide content.

Source streams cover fish skin, bovine hide, and porcine skin, with fish-derived material dominating premium beauty positioning and bovine material common in joint formats.

Applications

  • Premium beauty drinks, shots, and clear collagen waters
  • Concentrated cosmetic ampoules and oral beauty serums
  • Capsules and sachets at lower daily doses than standard collagen peptide
  • Joint-health supplements paired with glucosamine, chondroitin, or undenatured Type II collagen
  • Clinical and post-surgical nutrition products where rapid amino-acid availability is wanted
  • Sports recovery formulas combined with whey or essential amino acids
  • Dermo-cosmetic creams, serums, and eye treatments
  • Functional gummies in premium beauty-from-within ranges
  • Dental and oral-care products positioned around gum and mucosal support
  • Ophthalmic and dry-eye supplement blends
  • Pet supplements aimed at senior dogs and cats with reduced chewing capacity

China Manufacturers of Collagen Tripeptide

How We Help Source Collagen Tripeptide

  • Direct Factory Sourcing

We run the whole process: selecting the manufacturer from the top Chinese food ingredient producers, negotiating the price, verifying quality, and coordinating the logistics. You deal with us instead of with several factories at once.

  • Original Packaging and Documents from the Manufacturer

The manufacturer sends your Collagen Tripeptide out of its own factory in the original packing, through to your destination port. The COA, COO, MSDS, TDS and any certifications reach you from the manufacturer as well.

  • Free Samples and Lead Time

We send 100 to 500 g free for your own laboratory to test and you cover only the courier, usually within 2 to 3 working days. ETD is usually within 7 to 15 days once the order is confirmed, and we check that date against the factory's own manufacturing schedule before we give it to you.

  • Combined Shipment

We can load Collagen Tripeptide together with other ingredients such as Collagen Peptide, Soy Protein Isolate and Fish Collagen Peptide into one 20' FCL. If your quantity is small, we can also ship LCL.

Regulatory Status

Collagen Tripeptide is regulated as a food ingredient or supplement protein and is treated under the same frameworks as collagen peptide.

In the United States it falls under generally recognized as safe practice for edible collagen produced under good manufacturing practice. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration permits its use in conventional foods and dietary supplements.

In the European Union general food law covers it, together with the hygiene rules in Regulation EC 853/2004 for collagen of animal or fishery origin. Fish source material requires allergen declaration under Regulation EU 1169/2011.

Halal and kosher certifications exist for fish and approved-bovine streams. Japanese functional-food regulations recognise collagen tripeptides under both Foods with Function Claims and Foods for Specified Health Uses frameworks, depending on the supplier dossier.

Manufacturing Process

Production begins with high-grade collagen peptide of average MW around 3 to 5 kDa, made by standard hot-water extraction and bacterial-protease hydrolysis of fish skin, bovine hide, or porcine skin.

The peptide solution is subjected to a second hydrolysis with specialized collagenase-class enzymes that preferentially cleave between Y-Gly residues. This deep cut produces a peptide mixture enriched in Gly-X-Y tripeptides.

The hydrolysate is then fractionated by ultrafiltration and nanofiltration to remove free amino acids, dipeptides, and residual longer peptides. Tight membrane cuts and chromatographic polishing concentrate the tripeptide pool to the specified percentage.

The final liquid is decolorised, deodorised, deionized, concentrated under vacuum, and spray-dried to a fine, hygroscopic powder typically packed in foil-lined sacks.
