Shaanxi Hongda Fragrance Technology Co., Ltd.

Shaanxi Hongda Fragrance Technology was registered on 30 December 2021 with capital of CNY 50 million and employs about 30 people. It is based at Liuzhi Village, Xizhuang Town, in Hancheng, Shaanxi, the main growing area for the Dahongpao variety of Sichuan pepper.

The plant runs three production lines across two extraction routes, supercritical carbon dioxide and solvent extraction, and processes more than 2,000 tonnes of spice raw material a year. Output is natural spice oleoresins and essential oils. The declared range covers Sichuan pepper, cumin, ginger, cinnamon, star anise and black pepper, along with a five-spice oleoresin.

End uses given are hotpot bases, pickles and marinades, meat products, savoury flavour compounds, spicy foods and the dilution of Sichuan pepper oil. The company names Haidilao, Nestle, Totole, Shanghai Boli and Haile among its customers. Its stated approach is to sit close to the growing region and work as a specialist supplier of natural spice extracts rather than as a general flavour house.
