Shandong Hailongyuan Bio-tech Co., Ltd.

Shandong Hailongyuan Bio-tech was founded in 2017 to process marine raw materials. Its plant is at No. 688 South Road in the Changcheng Town industrial park at Zhucheng, part of Weifang in Shandong and close to Qingdao port, and an operations centre sits in the Shibei district of Qingdao. The site covers more than 80 mu, about 5.3 hectares, against total investment of CNY 250 million.

Production runs on two routes, enzymatic hydrolysis and extraction, both built to international food standards and supported by an in-house testing laboratory and a new product research centre. Output falls into four groups. Small-molecule peptides cover Antarctic krill, fish collagen, sea cucumber, abalone, oyster, soy, tuna, octopus and egg white. Chitosan oligosaccharide is made in food, feed, agricultural and cosmetic grades. The Antarctic krill line covers krill oil, krill peptide and krill meal in defatted and full-fat forms. A fourth group covers sea cucumber products and custom work.

The company has taken a first prize in the Shandong science and technology progress awards for work on raising the value of aquatic resources, and it has been developing peptide and krill applications for pet nutrition alongside its human food business.
