Organic Monk Fruit Extract

Organic Monk Fruit Extract is a mogroside-standardised extract of Siraitia grosvenorii fruit, produced from certified organic raw material under processing rules that meet USDA NOP, EU Organic, or equivalent organic standards.

The finished product matches conventional monk fruit extract in chemistry and sweetness, with the additional layer of a documented and audited organic supply chain from the orchard to the finished powder.

We source bulk Organic Monk Fruit Extract from top China manufacturers for our partners. The manufacturer is in Hunan. For this ingredient the minimum order is 50 kg and a 20-foot container takes 17 MT, and a smaller requirement can ship in a combined container with other ingredients.

Common Markets Grades

Organic Monk Fruit Extract is graded by mogroside V purity.

The 25, 40, and 50 percent mogroside V grades are the standard commercial tiers, mirroring the conventional product. The 25 percent grade is the cost-driven entry tier, the 40 percent grade is the mainstream mid-tier, and the 50 percent grade is the premium high-purity cut.

Higher purities at 60 percent and above are produced in smaller volumes for premium supplement and pharmaceutical use. Organic juice concentrate formats at 40 to 60 brix exist for applications that benefit from the full fruit matrix.

Because organic rules restrict the use of synthetic processing aids and some adsorbent resins, organic grades typically rely on hot water extraction, food-grade activated carbon, and approved natural polishing media.

How We Help Source Organic Monk Fruit Extract

  • Direct Factory Sourcing

We run the whole process: selecting the manufacturer from the top Chinese food ingredient producers, negotiating the price, verifying quality, and coordinating the logistics. You deal with us instead of with several factories at once.

  • Original Packaging and Documents from the Manufacturer

The manufacturer sends your Organic Monk Fruit Extract out of its own factory in the original packing, through to your destination port. The COA, COO, MSDS, TDS and any certifications reach you from the manufacturer as well.

  • Free Samples and Lead Time

We send 100 to 500 g free for your own laboratory to test and you cover only the courier, usually within 2 to 3 working days. ETD is usually within 7 to 15 days once the order is confirmed, and we check that date against the factory's own manufacturing schedule before we give it to you.

  • Combined Shipment

We can load Organic Monk Fruit Extract together with other ingredients such as Stevia, Erythritol and Maltitol into one 20' FCL. If your quantity is small, we can also ship LCL.

Regulatory Status

Organic Monk Fruit Extract carries the same food additive status as conventional monk fruit extract, with the additional layer of organic certification.

In the United States, the ingredient is recognised under the GRAS notices that cover defined mogroside V purity ranges. The USDA National Organic Program (7 CFR 205) governs the organic claim. In the European Union, monk fruit extract is authorised under E968, with the organic claim governed by EU Regulation 2018/848.

JECFA evaluated Siraitia grosvenorii extracts and concluded that an ADI was not required at typical use levels.

Certifications routinely held include USDA NOP, EU Organic, COR (Canada), and JAS (Japan). Kosher and Halal certifications are normally offered alongside the organic certificates, as is Non-GMO Project verification.

Manufacturing Process

Production starts with certified organic monk fruit, cultivated on land that has been free of prohibited inputs for at least three years before harvest. The primary supply base is in Guangxi province, where organic cooperatives manage the karst-mountain orchards.

Harvested fruit is dried in covered drying houses or used fresh in the processing plant. Extraction is carried out with hot water under standard organic processing conditions. Crude extract is clarified by centrifugation and decolorised over activated carbon, which is permitted under organic rules.

Purification uses approved natural and food-grade resins and membrane systems. The mogroside fraction is concentrated under vacuum, optionally crystallised or further fractionated, and spray dried.

Every step is documented against the organic system plan and verified during annual audits by an accredited certifier. Cleaning agents, sanitizers, and incidental processing aids are restricted to the National List or its EU equivalent.
