Uridine
Uridine is a pyrimidine nucleoside (C₉H₁₂N₂O₆, CAS 58-96-8) composed of the base uracil linked to a ribose sugar via a β-N1-glycosidic bond.
It is a fundamental building block of RNA and a key intermediate in the biosynthesis of membrane phospholipids and brain glycoproteins. In commerce it appears both as the free nucleoside and as the more soluble disodium salt of uridine 5'-monophosphate (UMP).
We source bulk Uridine from top China manufacturers for our partners. The manufacturer is in Shandong. A smaller requirement can ship in a combined container with other ingredients.
Please send the grade you need, the volume and your destination port, and we will come back with a solution and a price.

Common Markets Grades
Several closely related chemical forms of uridine reach the market.
Pure uridine free nucleoside at 99 percent purity is produced for supplement, pharmaceutical, and research use. Uridine 5'-monophosphate disodium (UMP disodium), CAS 3387-36-8, is the dominant supplement form because of its superior aqueous solubility and stability in tablet and capsule formats.
Triacetyluridine is a lipophilic prodrug of uridine used in clinical research for higher oral bioavailability, though it remains limited to investigational and specialty supplement supply. Yeast-derived RNA hydrolysates standardised to total nucleotides are an alternative source format for infant-formula fortification.
All major producers operate under HPLC certificates of analysis with limits on related pyrimidines, residual solvents, and microbial contamination.

How We Help Source Uridine
Direct Factory Sourcing
We run the whole process: selecting the manufacturer from the top Chinese food ingredient producers, negotiating the price, verifying quality, and coordinating the logistics. You deal with us instead of with several factories at once.
Original Packaging and Documents from the Manufacturer
The manufacturer sends your Uridine out of its own factory in the original packing, through to your destination port. The COA, COO, MSDS, TDS and any certifications reach you from the manufacturer as well.
Free Samples and Lead Time
We send 100 to 500 g free for your own laboratory to test and you cover only the courier, usually within 2 to 3 working days. ETD is usually within 7 to 15 days once the order is confirmed, and we check that date against the factory's own manufacturing schedule before we give it to you.
Combined Shipment
We can load Uridine together with other ingredients such as Arachidonic Acid, Coenzyme Q10 and Chondroitin Sulphate Sodium into one 20' FCL. If your quantity is small, we can also ship LCL.
Regulatory Status
Uridine and uridine monophosphate have widely accepted regulatory status in nutrition and pharmaceutical use.
Uridine monophosphate disodium has been used in infant formula for decades and is approved as a nucleotide fortifier in the United States, the European Union, and most other major markets. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued letters of no objection for the use of nucleotide blends in infant formula at total nucleotide levels modeled on human milk.
For supplement use, uridine and UMP disodium are lawful dietary supplement ingredients in the United States under DSHEA. In the European Union they are sold as food supplements within the general framework, although novel-food considerations may apply at high purified-ingredient doses depending on the form.
Triacetyluridine has orphan-drug status in some jurisdictions for hereditary orotic aciduria. The substance is not on the WADA prohibited list.
Manufacturing Process
Industrial uridine is produced almost entirely by microbial fermentation.
Engineered strains of Bacillus subtilis or Corynebacterium glutamicum are cultivated on a glucose-based medium with controlled supply of orotic acid or other pyrimidine precursors. The strains have been modified to overexpress the pyrimidine biosynthesis pathway and to secrete uridine into the broth.
The fermentation broth is clarified by centrifugation and microfiltration, then passed over activated carbon and ion-exchange resin to remove pigments and salts. Uridine is crystallised from concentrated aqueous solution, washed, and dried. Conversion to UMP disodium is carried out by enzymatic or chemical phosphorylation followed by neutralisation with sodium hydroxide.
Major production capacity sits in China, Japan, and South Korea. Yamasa Corporation of Japan operates one of the longest-running uridine fermentation businesses, originally tied to its umami-nucleotide product lines.
