Great Forest

Great Forest is the trading name of Hangzhou Ruishu Biochemical Co., Ltd. (杭州瑞树生化有限公司), registered in December 2012 in the Yuhang District of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Its premises are in the Hangzhou Normal University science park incubator on Wenyi West Road, Cangqian subdistrict, and it operates the domain great-forest.com.

The company makes fully synthetic natural products, pharmaceutical intermediates and fine chemicals. Its output is chemically synthesised rather than extracted from plants, which is how it supplies stilbenes and curcuminoids that occur only in trace amounts in nature.

The stilbene range covers resveratrol, acetylated resveratrol, pterostilbene, hydroxypterostilbene, oxyresveratrol, piceatannol and pinosylvin. Curcuminoids include tetrahydrocurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin. Other listed materials are fisetin, erianin, nicotinamide mononucleotide, ergothioneine, spermidine trihydrochloride, 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid, N-vanillylamine, synthetic capsaicin and combretastatin A4. Quantities run from laboratory scale to commercial batches, with the company describing itself as one of the larger domestic producers of synthetic resveratrol derivatives.
