Nanyang Plant Essence Extraction makes spice extracts by supercritical carbon dioxide. The catalogue runs to essential oils and oleoresins from cumin, Sichuan pepper and green Sichuan pepper, ginger, star anise, cinnamon, fennel, coriander seed, celery seed, cardamom, clove bud and nutmeg, together with a water soluble ginger oil.

The company was set up in 2014 in the Danshui industrial park at Xixia County, Nanyang, in western Henan, on a site of more than 5,000 square metres. It runs a supercritical CO2 line of three 600 litre vessels, a three vessel pilot rig for trial batches and a GL-M300L molecular distillation unit, with a 700 square metre blending room and its own laboratory. It takes contract extraction work, sharing process parameters, running a small trial first and then producing in batch.
