Hygieia, registered as Shenzhen Hygieia Biotech Co., Ltd., develops and manufactures dietary supplement raw materials associated with healthy ageing. It is based in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, is recognised as a national high-tech enterprise and holds Shenzhen designations as a specialised and innovative small enterprise and a synthetic biology enterprise. Its first raw material plant is in Weifang, Shandong Province.

Production is built on an in-house biosynthesis platform the company calls Zymevolver, which spans gene editing and vector construction, chassis strain engineering in Escherichia coli and yeast, directed evolution and immobilisation drawn from a library of about 500 industrialisable enzymes, fermentation development up to the 10 to 50 tonne scale, and downstream separation by membrane filtration, chromatography, crystallisation and extraction. A pilot plant bridges gram and kilogram scale work to commercial batches.

The catalogue centres on NAD precursors and coenzymes: nicotinamide mononucleotide, its reduced form NMNH, nicotinamide riboside as the chloride and the hydrogen malate salt, NAD and NADH. Around these it sells calcium alpha-ketoglutarate, pyrroloquinoline quinone disodium salt, L-ergothioneine, urolithin A, spermidine trihydrochloride, fisetin, quercetin, pterostilbene, resveratrol, citicoline, D-chiro-inositol, calcium L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, S-equol, S-allyl-L-cysteine and palmitoylethanolamide. The company also offers formulation development and OEM and ODM manufacture of finished supplements. Certifications reported are ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, halal, kosher and FDA registration.
